The evil Baron Fortesque built this machine called the Chaos Engine which has completely wackified not only his own estate, but also the world! You have offered to fight your way into his mansion and destroy the machine... for a price. You will of course get to keep any valuables you find lying around! Keep in mind that that date is something like the turn of last century, so your weapons are limited to that era (plus some H.G. Wells-type "inventions.")
